The Dubai International Film Festival, the leading and largest event of its kind in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, debuted in December 2004 with three core goals: to act as a cultural bridge between the Arab and non-Arab worlds, to provide a showcase for excellence in Arab cinema and a global platform for the development of Arab and Arab-origin film talent, and to provide an unmatched cultural experience for the UAE community.
