Oh Please, and you are her childhood therapist? Or just voicing your frustrations through this story? Assuming she had a rough life like many people out there, does this give her the right to pour all her anger on another shopper? is this your justification……. “venting the brutal acts” by simply displaying the same brutal acts on another human being? ……if someone’s mom was killed, should they be excused for killing every other mom out there, just because it happened to them? Honestly your sick validation and reasoning are only encouraging more wrong doing and suggesting that two wrongs make a right! And yes let us pray for MIND peace and the healing of bitter/ angry souls and some education & maturity for you! You seriously need it.

Instead of attacking the Iraqi people due to one unacceptable behavior did anyone ask the reason behind the blast? Could this women been attacked by American soldiers? could her relatives been rapped, kidnaped or murdered? or are refugees in the Middle East or Gulf regions as many as hundred thousands of Iraqis? I am not an Iraqi nor defending her outrage but this attitude has come from somewhere keeping in mind the wealth of this country whether in culture, education or petrol. She could be venting the brutal acts over the people of Iraq in the wrong way. Violence leads to violence. Let's pray for peace and try to practice it by all means.

Off all the people i've come across in dubai, phillipinos are the most lively n friendly.. Most of them are so very humble.. Yes as in every community, there are the gud, bad n ugly kinds.. instances such as Nuan's, remind us the harsh realities of life. people should realise that everybody's life is precious.. All of us should try to be a blessing in someone else's life..

There r many cases*(reported) filipinas have killed theer employees when they were abused, complained to the POLICE, LABOUR courts. Many cases of molesting have been reported so weak is a misnomer...

J Ali Baba r u sure they r the weakiest. J.A.B, filipinos are known to have more patience and understanding,sometimes mistaken to be meek and weak,they all try to live harmoniously with each other and other nationalities,but once they got fed-up with all the maltreatments or discriminations,they just explode,releasing all their pent up emotions and pressure, and resulting into either serious injury or death to the other person,and also you are guilty of profiling filipinos as weak by your statement alone,(qoute"everybody beats the philipinos for they are the weakest member in the heirarchy"),hope that such filipinos would never know your true identity coz we don't know what they might do then being insulted like that.

JABS it aint about law its about mentality - perfect example is Ancient x. In fact most of the time he makes no sense as he argues for the sake of an irrational mindset and this is a guy who is also married to a foreigner (Brit/Eng) but claims to be a champion of Arab/Muslim cases.

I just wanted to say that this behaviour happens in all societies and not just a particular culture. The employer's family are American but with Iraqi heritage. So being from Iraq has nothing to do with it. There are bad seeds in all countries. However I would like to point out that the attacker was Iraqi but you would never know it unless she told you. She dressed and talked like any other muslim women you see everyday in Dubai. She obviously has been in the UAE for a very long time. The attacker also had the decency to say to the Employer that she did her a favour by beating up Ms. Davis because she is a bad nanny and does not know how to take care of the toddlers. All this in the 30 seconds of her encounter with the nanny, she knew the entire history of Ms. Davis whom for everyone's knowledge is one of the best nanny's out there. The nerve of some people! The most shocking to date is that this crazy animal is out there and has not yet been arrested. You definetly would not see that in any western countries where she would have been arrested immediately and would never be allowed in any Emirates Coop again.

Tony, YOU ARE FUNNY!!!! The operative word is "SUPPOSED" to be calm during Ramadan. LOL, That is exactly why we are spending Ramadan in our home land. I refuse to spend another Ramadan in Dubai. My children are terrified, and it's nothing but hypocricy. You would think the "Holy Month" would stablize peoples behaviors, but NO. If they can behave this way during our holiest month then Allah only knows what they are capable of during the rest of the year!!

any updates with regards of the Employer of Ms. Nuan (Domestic Helper which was maltreated by her Lebanese Employer)Is the case been brought to the court? Is the Employer being jailed? Please update us! Do not set aside this brutal stories.

Hasn’t anyone noticed the last part of the news story. The lady was queuing up at the checkout counter. Why the hell did the supermarket security let her go after she had physically assaulted the lady. Only when the employer of Davis showed up was there any talk of getting a police complaint in. Surprised no one brought that up.

This women should be fined and put in jail, I'm sure this will cool her temperature. Davina I have seen your comment and some others you have put before. Having this women beaten in public as you suggest will be doing exactly what she did and make us no better than her. Proper legal actions should be taken and I am glad that Ms. Davis is taking these actions. I hope 7 days will follow up on this so we know what has been done. It might teach this women and others like her to think twice before humiliating and demeaning another person.

Maybe she should shorten her Abaya so it doesn't drag the floor to get the potential of these type of things happening. However, I believe this woman should be put in a public place and beaten in front of everyone.

I know i pick on monkey quite a lot, but at the end of the day i have just realised i am actually jealous of him. This attack did in fact takes place during Ramadan and apparently the psycho was fasting. It is obvious this crazy lady has no idea what Ramadan is all about let alone to be a decent human being!

What that crazy woman did to Davis was insane and dispicable!! Aren't muslims ( as us all regardless of religion) supposed to be charitable even more so during this time of year. I do hope that Davis, is compensated for her trouble and this woman made to pay for doing such a horrible thing. Spitting is the least classy thing you can do to anyone. Goodness me - not surprising though. There seems to be an attitude out here of treating and judging people according to nationality and an arrogance of thinking they are superior or better than everyone alse. Its prevailent and very common out here among Arabs and Arab expats towards others - aaahhh - did I say that - off with the head - traitor.

This kind of treatment should not be tolerated under any circumstance. I think the woman who proudly and arrogantly displaced this kind of behavior should not get away with it. Assaulting someone in public or private is a criminal act and should be dealt with accordingly. The fact that she thinks it’s ok to go crazy on a maid and beat and insult her is without a doubt appalling. And it’s interesting to know if this would have happened if the victim was not a maid?

What a pity! We had a neighbor slay into our mild and sweetest maid because my maid asked her child not to drop food in the building hall way. My neighbor accused my maid of yelling at her daughter and scaring her ( did not happen) but did not think twice before knocking at my door and yelling at her at the top of her voice. When we confronted her, she was really cool as though nothing transpired and refused to understand any logic. As a last resort I also said that she did the same to my kid what she accused my maid of doing to hers-terrorising a child. She laughed it off saying that her child found the whole incident funny. It was then that I realized the whole point of my civlized discussion with her was lost and that this society has no hope till the arrogance is wiped out.

Proof positive that wearing an abaya, or any conservative dress for that matter, does not guarantee modesty, decency, or humanity.

Revolting behavior indeed!!! There is a reason behind every action and I wonder what the case may have been. Regardless there is no justification whatsoever for treating other human beings in such a manner.

Did this happen during Ramadan (date wasn't mentioned)? Sure hope not, because this month's supposed to be the time for calm and good behavior. And i hope this isn't a regular behaviour among Iraq ladies. Otherwise I'd think twice praying for peace in their beleaguered country next time.

While generalizing is not good, in my 27 years here, the majority rude, abusive and aggressive people (of the type mentioned here), that I have encountered, consisted of people from 5-6 countries only; Iraq being one of them. Whats shameless about them is the fact that their behavior depends on who they are dealing with, if its someone more powerful, they roll around like cats, if its someone weaker, their true nature comes through. More than once, they have behaved badly with me, only to say "Sorry, I though you were Indian/Pakistani"!

They might run off your abaya or bang your leg accidentally but you are not supposed to react that way. Is it because that Filipina is the one who does it that's why she almost killed her, I can't keep on thinking what if it is other nationality who does it to her like British,Australian and etc, except Asian, Is she still going to behave the way she behaves with the Filipina?????????????? By the way most of people wearing abayas doesnt care when they bang to somebody in the supermarket or malls they really don't care at all, doesn't even know how to say SORRY!!!
