Dear D Nahas (I like my bags packed, letters Dec 2).
First, it would be great if Carrefour would stop using plastic bags and let the client use their own bags.
Second, what is wrong with packing your own groceries, which you buy and who you pay for?
Third, do you bring your shopping cart back inside Carrefour when you’re finished with it?
Because unfortunately the staff cannot be in two places at the same time.
Fourth, did you think of, that maybe because of the dip we are all going through in the world, that the shops are cutting back on their staff?

I have news for you....you ARE spoilt!! Why why why do you need someone to pack your groceries for you?
Do it yourself!!! The lack of ‘grocery packers’ will not slow down the queue as long as you pack your own bags at a normal speed!
You’ve clearly lived in Dubai far too long and need a reality check!

Annoyeveryone.....brilliant! I love it!! That is our duty isn't it?? To role model to our children?? Other wise we will end up raising spoiled, selfish, demanding brats. Who go into the world with an entitlement chip on their shoulders.

And I thought they are doing soaring business (last week could not find parking there). I do not find any harm in someone packing my stuff nicely in the bag. For all you DIY fans, pl ask the helper to move to another counter if you do not need their services but do not let them loose their job and convenience to some of us.

What would you be doing while someone else is bagging your grocery? Let me guess, giving instructions to the poor guy on how to arrange the items?? So this is actually not speeding up the process. You really need to start thinking of how you perceive people around you. Being part of this community, you should think of ways to interact with those who help us with our day-to-day life, thus providing convenience to our life in here. If you get help in one of your visits, that doesn't mean you will get it all the time. It is a FREE value added service. I am really sick and tired of those people who think it is their taken-for-granted right to expect others to bag their grocery, carry it to the car, fill up their tanks, wash their car windows, take care of the kids, and many other lazy tasks they expect to be done for them. Take initiative and help those who help.

It would be good if they could give a hand once in a while. FYI, i pack my stuff myself since i pack bathroom, kitchen, freezer, bedroom etc. stuff separately. Sorry carrefour, I take extra bags but Thank you anyways.
