Fans of one of England’s biggest football clubs are celebrating after a Dubai hotel agreed to rename its bar the Arsenal Tavern and soundproof the venue so supporters can sing their hearts out on match day.
Fans are heading down to the Grandeur Hotel in Al Barsha on Saturday to mark the official relaunch of Spirals bar - the new home of the 145-strong official Gunners supporters club.
Chairman of Arsenal UAE, David Price, said: “The hotel has renamed the bar which makes Arsenal the only club in the whole Middle East to have a bar actually named after them.
“We might not have the best voices in the world but we definitely like to sing our hearts out to support the team,” said Price.
The bar opens on Saturday from 5pm ahead of Arsenal’s 7pm clash with Stoke City.
